Shelleen Weaver served as our local Book Fair author at Lancaster Mennonite - Locust Grove Campus this winter. Students had the option of purchasing an autographed copy of the newly published book, Love Bird. Elementary students watched a video of Mrs. Weaver reading the book, and she explained the background that went into writing it during a Zoom session with the students. Mrs. Weaver engaged well with the children as she fielded questions from PreK-5 students. The experience of having Mrs. Weaver share appeared to spark student interest in both reading and writing. I highly recommend Shelleen Weaver to you as an author and speaker as she connects so well with students.
Shelleen was our speaker and worship leader for our fall women’s ministry retreat. Her speaking skills are very quick to pull you in wanting to hear more. The ladies left our retreat with lots of ways we could use her lessons to improve our lives. She touched our hearts. We were in awe of how honest and real she was with our group.
We have been blessed by Shelleen’s ministry on many occasions. The first time, she sang for our annual women’s retreat. We have had her back three times to both speak and sing for our annual Christmas event where she twice wrote an original song to fit our theme! And most recently, we brought her in to be our main speaker for our annual women’s retreat, where she stayed up and ministered to our ladies through music well into the evening. We love Shelleen’s passion for leading us into God’s Presence through her intimate style of worship. She is enthusiastic, intentional, grounded in the Word, willing to be vulnerable, and fun! I highly recommend Shelleen Weaver for your women’s ministry event.
I have had the opportunity to be doubly blessed by Shelleen's talent. First, we have added several songs to our music rotation from her "Rough Tracks" album, and second, we have been blessed to have Shelleen perform live at our Cafe. God has blessed her with a big voice that ranges from raw and powerful to soft and sweet. And the really amazing thing is the beautiful heart that is behind the voice. We are proud to be the first station to air her music and start a procession of stations that won't be ending anytime soon.
